Extra kindy hours for St Mary’s

30 Jun, 2010 09:11 AM
ST MARY’S Primary School, in Donnybrook, is looking at offering extra hours for kindergarten students in 2011.

Kindergarten students currently attend a full day of school on Tuesdays and Fridays.

School Principal Peter Sell said the school would determine when the extra hours would be once numbers were worked out for next year.

He urged parents thinking of enrolling their children in St Mary’s kindergarten or pre-primary programs to contact the school early to assist with planning for next year.

Mr Sell said the school had recently added to its early childhood facilities to cater for a bigger group, including a covered outdoor area.

The school adopts a play-based learning philosophy in kindergarten and pre-primary programs, and also incorporates the use of technology such as interactive whiteboards to give students plenty of experience with IT from an early age.
