KIRUP locals turned out in droves to a garage sale to raise money for cancer patient Alana Bartlett.
The organisers — Alana’s aunt Nene Simmons and Jackie de Wit of the Kirup Service Station — said there were 17 stalls, more than 200 people through the door and the event raised $2432 for Alana’s treatment.
The event was held in beautiful weather at the Kirup town hall on August 1.
“The family have really appreciated the support with what everyone’s doing,” Ms de Wit said. “It’s lifting Alana’s morale – everybody’s support is really making a difference.”
Ms de Wit and Ms Simmons thanked Bev Black, Diane and Alf Torrissi, Jo Bickley and everyone who donated their goods and time on the day.
