ONE of the Balingup Golf Club’s youngest members has taken out the club’s A-grade championship.

Serge Hunt, 17, was presented with the trophy at the club’s annual wind-up on October 25. Serge, who started playing at 13, was also one of the youngest golfers to win the championship since the club’s inception in 1914.

The A-grade runner-up was Brian Skippings.

The B-grade championship was taken out by Lyle Bailey, ahead of runner-up Gavin Wall.

Twenty pairs played on the day and enjoyed the wind-up dinner.
