DONNYBROOK rising equestrian star Sharon Jarvis and horse Applewood Odorado came second in the advanced freestyle competition at the Australian Dressage National Championships.
The competition, in which Miss Jarvis competed against open Olympians, was held in Sydney at the International Equestrian Centre from October 30 to November 1.
Miss Jarvis said that the class was her favourite, because it was a dressage test done with the competitors own choreography and music.
The pair also gained a 15th and a 19th out of 35 in other advanced classes.
“It was just about as exciting as the Paralympic Games,” she said.
“To be competing and doing so well at such a big event for able-bodied riders was exciting.”
Miss Jarvis will be riding in Melbourne in December at the Dressage Festival.
