Bridgetown Golf
SIX years ago Bridgetown Golf Club member Brian Burvill suggested a father and son event.
However, rather than just having fathers and sons involved, the club decided to make the event generational so that daughters, mums and grand parents could all be involved.
Each year the field of players has increased as members and guests join in the fun of an inter-family competition.
This year’s event, played last Saturd-ay, attracted 38 players who contested a well organised event sponsored by members Brendan and Brian Burvill, Russell Morris, Anthony Fullam, Andrew Kristofferson, John Awcock and Ian Purse.
Winners of the generation gap were Wayne and Jason Pember score 59¾ followed closely by Denice and Vincent Nock on 60¾.
