DONNYBROOK women bowlers supported the Cancer Council’s statewide appeal with a Charity and Friendship Day on Thursday, December 3.

Twenty-one players participated in two games in the morning, before joining their patron Pam Trigwell and many past players for a shared lunch.

Trophies, annually donated by Aylie Cross, were awarded on the basis of drawn cards.

A total of $289 was raised on the day.

Donors and supporters of raffles, etc were thanked for their contribution by the women’s bowls president, Joan Bartley.

The grand final of the championship singles was held on December 17, with Pam Offer taking out the title and Nola Blake finishing as runner up.

Pam put in a brilliant effort andwas undefeated in the five games she played.
