SCHOOL records fell at the 2009 Greenbushes Primary School Athletics Carnival won by Red.
Family and friends enjoyed a picnic atmosphere and mild weather for the annual event at the school oval.
Junior champion boy Joshua Perks of White faction won the eight years boys 50-metre flat race in a record breaking time of 8.75 seconds and also broke the record for the junior boys (7-8) champion flat race in a time of 8.71 seconds.
Joshua went on to take out the 5-8 boys 200-metre race in the record breaking time of 38.34 seconds.
Cameron Rodgers of Red faction broke the Mini Boys (5/6) flag champion record with a time of 18.77 seconds and Taylah Wells of Red faction broke the Mini girls (5/6) Flag Champion record in a time of 19.84 seconds.
A fistful of team relay records were also broken:
• the mini (5-6) mixed 4 x 50m relay race was won by Red faction in a time of 48.77 seconds;
• the Mini (5-6) flag relay record was broken with a time of 139 seconds; and
• the junior (7-8) mixed flag relay was won by Red team in a time of 102.92 seconds.
