Riders gearing up to more activity

02 Jul, 2009 09:49 AM
DONNYBROOK Horseman’s Club members have been busy upgrading their grounds and clubrooms in preparation for possible future events.

The club, which has 17 members, is looking at holding endurance rides, clinics and horse-riding courses.

Club member Meg Woodhouse said the club was getting more interest all the time.

“We have members come out from Bunbury and Busselton,” she said.

“We’re just some like-minded people who get together to have social fun with horses.”

Upgrades at the Beelerup grounds will include a new floor, guttering and water tanks for the hut, and upgrades to the arena as well as the construction of holding yards.

Horseman’s club members meet for a social ride once a month and also every Friday at 10am.
