BRIDGETOWN Lawn Tennis Club’s women’s A1 pennant team decided to try out some new tactics to dazzle the opposition and win their game.

So they attended their next match in matching shirts and new hats.

The dapper outfits created many comments but did nothing for their wearers’ performance.

The women came a close second to Bunbury and decided that perhaps more practice would be more useful than more fashion.

The club is asking “do you have a mulberry tree, or do you know someone who does?” It needs donations of mulberries for the annual Easter tournament. Mulberry pies are a popular part of the tournament experience but the club is having trouble getting enough mulberries. If you have, or know of, mulberries that can be picked please either pick them yourself and freeze them in ice cream containers or let Steve know on 9799 3394. Or if you are able to help with picking also ring Steve.
