Boyup Brook tennis inter club visits a success

07 Feb, 2012 10:31 AM
JANUARY has seen strong numbers playing social tennis at the Boyup Brook Tennis Club especially on January 29, when 11 members from the Donnybrook Tennis Club paid a visit.

The courts are looking fantastic due to some close attention by a number of club members.

The shire has also purchased a new mower that is capable of a much finer cut, which will be a great advantage for the playing surface.

Members are asked to check the notice on the front gate that indicates which courts are available for play.

February will be a busy month, starting with a junior camp and coaching with Christina Ladyman and the Handicap Doubles Championship.

The ‘Loving Cup’ will be held on February 12 with partners in life encouraged to team up as partners on the court for a fun day.

Social tennis will be played on the Sunday of the Country Music Festival with visitors welcome to come along for a hit.

The month ends with the Singles Championship on February 26, before the Open Tournament on the March long weekend.
