 Women give it a ‘tri’

Women give it a ‘tri’

14 Dec, 2011 10:21 AM
BOYUP Brook was well represented at a women's triathlon in Perth last month with 10 locals taking part in the annual ‘Pink Triathlon’.

The event, which raises money and awareness for breast cancer and research, attracted more than 1000 women from all walks of life.

The local girls competed individually in short, medium and long courses and a few of them were taking part in their first ever triathlon.

Although the event was timed, the emphasis was on participation and fitness, rather than competition.

Watch out Boyup, there is talk of running similar local event here!
