IS there a more boring town in the south-west than Bridgetown?
The pubs are sterile, restaurants are overpriced and under-cooked with little more than roadhouse food.
The music scene is stifled by businesses who think that local musicians can play for their supper and seem to have no idea that these people are trying to add vibrancy and life to Bridgetown.
The town knocked back the bypass because they thought they would lose trade from people passing through and go broke.
Bridgetown could have made itself the inland Margaret River, a place without all the wind, beautiful vistas and great hospitality but no, cheap and easy will do.
Throw some blue party lights up in winter, through a pretend Blues event in November and charge everyone triple for an inferior event.
The council is no more than a training ground for blue ribbon Liberals.
Am I angry? Yep.
