Nannup author marks book's launch

NANNUP author and illustrator Esther-Rose Mills is launching her children's book 'Adven tures in Wild and Wonderful Places' on February 23.

The launch is at A Taste Of Nannup on Warren Rd, Nannup.

Her book has finally hit the shelves and is the first instalment in her 'Guardians of the Earth' series.

It takes children on a journey through nature.

The stories are based on author's life in a national park with her ranger husband and the enjoyment of being part of, and appreciating, the diverse state of Western Australia.

"The books highlight the importance of caring for the environment as well the benefits we obtain from interacting with, and being part of, the cycle of life," Ms Mills said.

"Children learn on a multitude of levels, with every sense and with gusto. There truly is no better place to learn about life and ourselves than the outdoors."

'Adventures in Wild and Wonderful Places,' takes children to meet all the 'locals', from carpet pythons to lost penguins; and helps them learn to grow into brave and resilient young people with a little help from their parents and while learning the value of friendship and sharing.
