THE Boyup Brook Art Awards, held during the Country Music Festival this year, attracted many artists from far afield.
Many were first-time exhibitors.
"We are developing a broader network and this year attracted many first-time exhibitors in these awards," organiser Caro lyn Harvey said.
Sharon Hinchliffe of Australind won the Boyup Brook IGA Open Prize for her artwork Don't Lose It.
There were 164 painting and sculptures which included sections for Works on Paper, Works on Canvas, Mixed Media, Textiles and Sculptures.
There were first and second prizes in each section.
Major awards to be won were the IGA Open, Indigenous and Packer's prizes.
Entry fees from patrons will be donated to both the Boyup Brook District High School and St Mary's Catholic School to go towards their art programs.
"We are appreciative of the artwork received, our wonderful volunteers who hung these works, our caterers and our sponsors," Ms Harvey said.
