CITIZENS Electoral Council (CEC) candidate for O'Connor Jean Robinson says the global financial system is in severe crisis and the CEC is the only party telling the truth.
"Having been involved in agriculture all my life as a family farmer, I recognised 30 years ago the eminent destruction of primary industries and manufacturing from the free trade market economic fraud imposed on Australia," she said.
"Instead today the crisis is so bad, that family farming crisis of unpayable debt, the disappearance of small businesses and the end of the mining boom will destroy the living standards of the citizens of not only O'Connor, but the whole nation.
"Our history shows us how to solve the present political, financial and economic crisis.
"The CEC has written legislation for a national bank, which the Commonwealth Parliament can pass at a moment's notice.
"Today in WA we need to build the great Fitzroy River Irrigation Project to drought-proof much of the state and put an end to the 'green' anti-development madness which is crippling food production and rural communities.
"We will rebuild regional centres like Kalgoorlie which have been looted and left to die, into dynamic new manufacturing hubs of the future."
