POLICE have charged an 18-year-old Donnybrook man with reckless driving and unauthorised driving by a learner after he spent half an hour doing burnouts outside the Donnybrook hospital.
On February 1 between 12.30 and 1am, about ten Bentley Street residents were brought out into the street to see what was happening after the burnouts started.
Police said one witness described the sound as being like a truck with a broken tyre screeching down the highway.
A witness who followed the car got a partial registration, which police traced to an address in Donnybrook, where they charged the man.
Donnybrook police said over the summer period young people were reminded police have a no tolerance policy in relation to this manner of driving.
