ON Saturday, March 29 the Nannup Bowling Club held its annual Corporate Cup.
Despite grey skies and even some rain early in the event, a most enjoyable day was had by contestants and spectators alike.
The Cup was hosted by the North Nannup Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade (VBFB) who provided lunch, dinner, coffee and tea throughout the day as well as plenty of fun and anticipation with a series of raffles, spins of the chocolate wheel and an auction.
First place in the bowling went to team Haz Beanz players Dawn Worthington, Sandra Worthington, Marion Moulton and Audrey Meek.
Second place went to Hurtles Hurlers players Michael Merritt, Lloyde Cockman, Michael Cockman and Keith Pears.
Third place went to Chris Otte Builders players Toni Otte, Chris Otte, Brownie Dickens and Paul Martin.
Wooden spooners were the North Nannup Rockets, Heather McQueen, Alan McQueen, Dorothy Worthington and Grant Raynel.
Wonderful prizes were won by lucky ticket holders and successful bidders and these prizes were the result of the amazing generosity and community spirit demonstrated by both Nannup and Busselton businesses and individuals.
These marvellous people contributed their products, vouchers and cash donations, giving valuable and much appreciated support to a local volunteer fire brigade.
The North Nannup VBFB committee and membership would like to thank these generous-hearted supporters, the community of Nannup and the Nannup Bowling Club for this important fundraising opportunity.
So many people contributed to the success and friendly ambience of the day, but we would like to make special mention of Blackwood Signs and the striking banners they created for both the Bowling Club and the VBFB.
