THERE is plenty for local kids to do over the holidays in the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes.
The Bridgetown Library has set up a potato print afternoon 8-12-year-olds from 2.30-4.30pm on Wednesday and on Thursday from 10.30am-noon where children in the 5-8 years age group will be able to make puppets.
Bookings are essential for both these activities on 9761 2503 or at the library in Steere Street.
On Thursday Peter and the Wolf feature in the library from 3-4pm.
The musical tale for children and grown up children will be presented by the Blackwood River Chamber Festival. Entry is by donation.
At the Bridgetown Recreation Centre on Tuesday, April 15 children aged 5-12 can attend a First Aid Awareness session from 1-3 pm.
On Wednesday, April 16, from 9.30-10.30am children can improve their strength and fitness at a jump rope workshop, followed at 10.40am by a Yoga Beach exercise session.
Team-building games are scheduled for Wednesday next week, 9.30-10.30am, followed by Fitball Fun from 10.40-11.30 am.
The following day is a session on first aid awareness from 1-3pm, where people can learn how to splint, sling and strap.

During both weeks of the holidays the Greenbushes Community Resource Centre is running programs for children aged 6-13.
On Tuesday, April 15, it is Time for Craft from 10am-noon, while on Wednesday, from 9.30-11.30am it is a Mine Craft Sessions.
The week finishes off on Thursday with a Nature Scavenger Hunt from 10am-noon.
In the second week at Greenbushes next Tuesday is set aside for making Anzac biscuits from noon-2pm, followed the next day with another session of Mine Craft from 9.30-11.30am.
On Thursday there is a screening of the movie Frozen at 10am.

The Bridgetown YMCA has joined the program list this year with a mixed offering for children aged 5-8.
Activities include painting, creating a bird feeder, creating something musical out of everyday objects, My Kitchen Rules Bridgetown-style, creating with clay and a party.

Apart from Good Friday the Bridgetown pool will be open until Easter Monday when the opening times are 11am-6pm.
