An unidentified body has been found in the wreckage of a house that was destroyed by fire in Geraldton.
Major Crime Squad detectives are searching for clues after discovering the badly burnt body in a unit gutted by fire on Devenish street in the Geraldton suburb of Utakarra at 6am on Wednesday morning.
WA police spokeswoman Susan Usher said police and arson officers are trying to determine both the identity of the victim and how the home went up in flames.
