BEAUTIFUL weather greeted ladies from the golf clubs of Serpentine, Harvey, Collie, Bunbury, Sanctuary, Dunsborough, Donnybrook, Boyup Brook, Bridgetown, Manjimup and Greenbushes when they arrived at the Greenbushes Golf Club on July 18 for the annual Ladies Open Day competition.
At the presentations, the club extended special thanks to Shamrock Sporting Club, Bridgetown Pharmacy and the W.A Lottery Commission for sponsoring the day.
Winners of the Novelty section were:
Longest Drive 1 or 10 Handicap 27 and under, Debbie Randall (Sanctuary)
Longest Drive 3 or 12 Handicap 28 and over, Jenny Aird (Boyup Brook)
Nearest the Marker 6 or 15, Pam McLernon (Bridgetown)
Longest Putt 2 or 11, This was 10 metres, Bev James (Greenbushes)
Longest Putt 7 or 16, Pam McLernon (Bridgetown).

Overall winners for the event were Dianne Smith and Pamela McLernon from Bridgetown with a score of 38.
Runners Up were Rita Baldock and Lorna Taylor (Bridgetown) 38 on a countback.
In third place, Jenny Aird and Lyn Jennings (Boyup Brook) 37.
Fourth place went to Eleece Bambrick and R. Haynes (Bunbury) 37 on a countback.
