People living in the southwest of the state have been warned to stay indoors with a storm system expected to bring dangerously high winds to the region.
The warning was issued by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services early on Saturday morning.
"The weather system is likely to cause localised damaging winds to 100 kilometers per hour that could result in damage to homes and property," the warning says.
Towns which are expected to be hit by the high winds include Mandurah, Katanning, Bridgetown, Narrogin, Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River, Albany, and Bremer Bay. The Perth metropolitan area is not expected to be affected.
The DFES says people in the storm zone should stay indoors, close their curtains and blinds and stay away from windows. They also advise unplugging electrical appliances and not using landline telephones if there is lightning.
If you are caught outside you should find shelter away from trees, powerlines, storm water drains and streams.
Drivers are also warned to take care with localised flooding expected on roads.
