AFTER the great success of the line dancing workshop held in Greenbushes for the 2013 ‘Bridgetown in the Winter’ festival, it was decided to hold another one for the 2014 festival.
Some of the Greenbushes ladies who attend Line Dancing classes in Donnybrook ask their instructor Audrey Brown to organize the workshop in the Greenbushes District Hall.
“This is like a taster for people who have been thinking about trying line dancing. They can try it here, then, if they like it, they can join up with a class afterwards."

“Line dancing is something a bit different to the usual, which means the local people do not get many opportunities to try it,” Ms Brown, who runs classes in Donnybrook, Collie, Capel and Boyanup, said.
“This is like a taster for people who have been thinking about trying line dancing. They can try it here, then, if they like it, they can join up with a class afterwards.
“Tonight we will be following the workshop with a full dance evening using both Line and ballroom dancing,” she said.
“All the profits tonight will be going to the Greenbushes Ratepayers Association, to be used for local community purposes.”
About 100 people turned up for the dance, once again making the project very successful.
