A BOOK project undertaken by the Carlotta Progress Association has culminated in the publication and launch of A Short History of the Carlotta District.
This book tells the story of the Carlotta District, near Nannup, from pre-settlement to the present day.
The project began as a way to commemorate the 80 year anniversary of the Carlotta Creek School.
"Thank you to all who came along to our Book Launch on July 26, it was great to see our Shire representatives and local community identities, as well as so many Carlotta residents past and present," organiser Bron Rack said.
"Everyone enjoyed a good old-fashioned afternoon tea Carlotta cakes are legendary and lots of chatting about the old days and catching up with friends both old and new.
"An especially big thank you goes to Heather Walford who researched and drove this project and Alison Kay who managed the artistic and publishing side of the book. Also thank you to the Lotteries Commission which granted the funding for the project."
