THOMSON Brook local Renae Clarke spent Friday August 29 nervously watching the waters rise around her property.
“Our property is surrounded by the raging rapids once known as the Thomson Brook River,” she told the Mail.
“All access roads to our property are now flooded out, so we are staying home and watching the rising levels. With a record of over 110mm at the property, it is amazing! The church across from us on higher ground has been opened for our refuge if need be, but fingers crossed,” she said.
