FOLLOWING the success of the Garden Expo last year, the Balingup Garden Expo will be held on October 18 at Jalbrook Estate, Balingup.
The Balingup Visitor Centre is delighted to again be able to host this year’s Expo as its major fundraising event at Jalbrook Estate.
This year will be bigger, better and brighter, with more stall holders, artists and entertainers along with some exciting guest speakers.
These include garden guru Neville Passmore, who will present interesting facts and tips on getting the best from your garden, and Dr Christine King, who will provide hands on demonstrations of composting and talk about getting your soil tested for better garden results.
Live Music will be provided by some wonderfully talented local entertainers.
Talented garden sculpture artists will have their pieces on display, for visitors to talk to about your special piece to take home.
Dennis Earnshaw from all things bees will give locals tips on how to encourage bees into your garden and have them stay.
Jalbrook’s Jan George will demonstrate the “lazy” or no dig garden method used on many of the garden beds at Jalbrook.
If you are a gardener and you want to learn or purchase anything gardening, this is an event not to be missed.
There will be Wood fired pizzas from the pizza oven, a sausage sizzle, tea, coffee, and delicious cakes available for you to enjoy on the day.
Some stalls are still available for discerning stall holders who specialise in garden products or produce.
With the establishment of an Arts Trail, we are keen to hear from any Artist in any medium who may wish to participate.
