ALTHOUGH Henri Nouwen House is well known for helping people who are affected by relatives or friends with a drug dependency, they also have a wide range of other programs on offer to help people of all ages and backgrounds to bring about positive life changes.
"We all have areas in our lives that need us to deal with, and Henri's provides the skills to do this," co-ordinator Sue Truell said.
"All of our programs are caring, non-judgemental and empowering, covering vast area of needs, from grieving for the loss of a loved one to taking responsibility for one's own actions," she said.
"We run a wide range of programs designed to assist people to re-evaluate and re-design their lives and to provide them with tools to alleviate distress caused by alcohol or drug dependency, relationship breakdown, domestic violence, sexual abuse, depression or bereavement. The programs at Henri Nouwen House provide education, support and inspiration, enabling clients to make necessary life changes to become healthy, functioning family and community members," Ms Truell said.
