WA Police have confirmed a man was shot in Lesmurdie on Monday, more than 24 hours after the incident took place.
The incident happened on Monday morning, with a 26-year-old man shot in the leg at a home in Ryan Way and several items stolen from the house, police spokesman Sam Dinnison said.
Police want to speak to Joshua Greg Allen, 24, in relation to the incident.
Channel Nine reporter Alice Pooley told Radio 6PR neighbours reported a disturbance and a possible assault.
She said Ryan Way backed on to bushland and although police were called after the shooting, the gunman escaped.
Police spokeswoman Susan Usher confirmed the incident, but said investigators did not release information on the shooting earlier as there was no threat to the public.
The victim was initially taken to Swan Districts Hospital but was tranferred later on Monday morning to Royal Perth Hospital, where he remained in a stable condition.
It is the second shooting incident in WA in less than 24 hours, after police shot a gunman in the thigh when he allegedly pointed a firearm at them in Mandurah on Sunday night.
