THROUGHOUT the short course season local Bridgetown swimmer Kaiden Richings, 10, qualified for 11 events competing at the State Junior Championships.
Swimmers from all over the state competed at HBF Stadium Perth, highlighting some of the tough competition.
Richings won three silver medals in 100m backstroke 1:16.85; 200m Backstroke 2:42.37 and in 50m Butterfly 34.46.
He also won three bronze medals in 50m backstroke 35.43, 100m butterfly 1:19.51 and in 100m freestyle 1:10.98.
Richings also broke four country all-time records.
The Championships marked the end of the short course season. The long course season commences now.
Richings’s next swim meet is the Bunbury Open Carnival on November 2, 2014.
