GHOSTS, ghouls, vampires and all manner of dark things came out to play in Nannup for the second Beautifully Haunted Gothic Bellydance and Burlesque show on Saturday November 1, presented by Donnybrook Bellydance Troupe Sisters of Ishtar.
Visitors from Perth and around the South West flocked to Nannup for the show, many of them dressing up in colourful Halloween-themed costumes ranging from Day of the Dead-style skull faces to Rob Zombie and even a horse.
Bellydancers from around the South West and Fremantle performed at the concert. The Halloween-themed performances ranged from the slow and serene to the fast and furious, and everything in between – including swing, burlesque, sword dancing and even a tango.
The third act of the concert debuted Belly Discordia, a theatrical bellydance production that told a dark story of murder, betrayal and redemption inspired by fallen angel mythology.
Beautifully Haunted organisers Sue Gray and Nina Smith thanked their sponsors for the evening, including Totally Sound, Templemore Teahouse, Preshus Jewellery and Ana Khist Designs, as well as all the cast and crew who helped to make the event a huge success.
