MOVEMBER ended with a big farewell to facial hair outside the Donnybrook Tourist Centre on Monday December 1.
The team of 86 Donnybrook men raised $13,000 toward men’s health over a month of growing their moustaches and forging new friendships.
Local police officer Trent Langthorn, who was the driving force behind Donnybrook participation in the fundraiser, said the main focus was to raise awareness of men’s health.
“It’s good for the community, and hopefully we’ve forged a few relationships in town,” he said.
A team of local hairdressers got together to shave and dye moustaches at the event.
