Bridgetown Basketball Association (BBA) hosted a carnival last weekend that attracted teams from Boyup Brook, Donnybrook and Nannup.

The competition was well represented with Bridgetown players, with four teams participating.
BBA President Hugh Wheatley was very happy with the carnival and said it was great to see so many players and umpires, both locally and from other towns come along to play in Bridgetown. He also praised the parents that help make it all happen.
"The parents that commit to bringing their kids down to this sort of thing, we just couldn't do it without them," Mr Wheatley said.

During, presentations an All Star team chosen from umpire voting throughout the game. The following players were chosen for this team, as a means to recognise some of the outstanding players from the day:
Senior Boys - L Mc Meikan from Boyup Brook, C Dickenson from Donnybrook, C Doust, L van Degrind and L Bassett all from Bridgetown.
Senior girls - M Wheatley and Indi Petersen from Bridgetown, T Clark and S McKirdy from Nannup and P Wheatley from Donnybrook.
Junior boys - S Britton from Bridgetown, D Healey from Donnybrook, J Craig from Nannup, N Wintor from Boyup Brook and C Van Degrind from Bridgetown.
Junior girls - C Ward and B Cassidy from Bridgetown, M Anderson from Donnybrook and T Abbott from Nannup.
"It is nice to acknowledge the best players at the carnival," Mr Wheatley said.
“Congratulations to you all. I would like to acknowledge the green shirt umpires, it is great to have so many young umpires coming up the ranks and they did a great job today."
