BRIDGETOWN born, UK based singer-songwriter Emily Barker is back for a visit to family and friends and to perform at the Bridgetown Repertory Club this weekend.
Barker has performed at Glastonbury and the London Olympics opening ceremony, the Stockholm Folk Festival and the Americana music festival in Nashville, has won a BAFTA for her Wallander theme song and just released her seventh album.
Accompanied by the exquisite strings of Sally Boud on viola and guest Nyanda J, Emily will be performing her songs at the Bridgetown Repertory Theatre on Sunday February 8 at 7pm.
A song-writing and performance Workshop with Barker will also be held from 11am on Sunday. The workshop will cover many aspects of inspiration for song writing and performance techniques and is suitable for all ages and stages. To register please phone or text 0432 105 754 or check out her website.
