SCHOOL holidays are a great time to relax and have fun and an awesome opportunity to learn new skills, which is exactly what has been happening at one local school vacation program in Bridgetown.
Children at the local 'Stepping Stones' centre have been learning how to create a fun garden to play in as part of their holiday entertainment.
Stepping Stones coordinator Kathryn Holland encourages the children to have input into what activities they do, and the kids all agreed it would be fun to build their own garden to play in.
"It is great to watch the kids design and create their own area to take part in," Ms Holland said. "It is going to be a sustainable and imaginative play area, with some sensory plants, textile tools and some beautiful flowers for them to enjoy."
