THERE will be plenty to see and learn about our local ANZACs at the Bridgetown Historical Society for the next five weeks.
Photos as well as letters that the boys and men from Bridgetown wrote home will be on display as well as a complete 'Light Horse Man' uniform and saddle, which will take pride of place as there were a number of Bridgetown lads in various light horse battalions during World War 1.
The photo below is of some of the locals that went to World War 1. Bridgetown Historical Society President Patricia Higgott is looking for names of some of them in the photo. If you think you can help, please call the Historical Society on 9761 4236 and leave a message or call down to the exhibit.
The ANZAC exhibition will run from Saturday April 18 until Saturday May 30 and will be open every Saturday between 10am and 2pm. Alternatively you can call 9761 4236 to organise group bookings.
