THERE were buttons and bows, cracked tile mosaics and fun animals to make from pressed paper at the Greenbushes Community Resource Centre’s school holiday programme in April.
A number of community members volunteered their time and skills to teach children a range of skills from creating mosaics to cooking pasta and designing name plates with colourful buttons.
The creative programme was put together by Coordinator Fran Bullock, who puts considerable thought and effort into organising activities to teach children skills while keeping them occupied over the school holidays.
Children from Greenbushes, Bridgetown and Balingup took part in the April activities.
The CRC has been successfully running School Holiday Programmes since 2013 with more than 100 children participating in wide range of programs from first aid through to bicycle safety and skills.
