THE annual Archies portrait exhibition was the prelude to the Winter in Bridgetown Festival this weekend, with a record number of artists displaying their work.
Sponsored by the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes and hosted by Pip and Bevan Mills at Bridgetown Pottery restaurant, the Archies is a light hearted take on our national portraiture prize.
This year the prizes were awarded to Ambriel Teague for Best on Show and Caroline Haines for Best Local Identity.
Bridgetown-Greenbushes Shire President Tony Pratico said it was great to have so many talented artists in our community who were prepared to display their work.
"On behalf of the shire I would like to thank all the artists for their work and effort," Cr Pratico said. "It is because of the artists passion that the shire continues to support this event."
The exhibition runs until July 17 and everyone is welcome to vote for the 'People's Choice' award.
