Going in to the last game of the round robins South West were tied with Great Northern on two wins each. In a winner takes all shoot out Great Northern went in to an early lead, which they held for the whole game.
At the death the South West came hard and managed to draw the game with almost the final kick.
Donnybrook’s Simon Parry was best on ground, with David Roche kicking a crucial goal late in the game. The draw was enough for South West to progress to the grand final on percentage.
In the final they met Upper Great Southern again and this time there were no slip ups. The South West showed their class to win comfortably with the Donnybrook trio again featuring strongly.
