A NEW group formed with the aim of helping people improve their communication and leadership skills is now meeting twice monthly at the Greenbushes Community Resource Centre.
The Blackwood River Valley Toastmasters group was formed in June and now has seven members who meet on the first and third Friday of the month at the Greenbushes CRC Training Room.
The new venture is being coordinated by Acting CRC Coordinator Helen Thistlethwaite, who has successfully run a Toastmasters group in Rockingham prior to moving to Greenbushes.
Members of the Rockingham Toastmasters attended the inaugural Greenbushes meeting.
The new Blackwood River Valley Toastmasters is being sponsored by Bunbury Toastmasters.
People interested in joining the group or finding out more about Toastmasters are asked to contact Helen on 0400108372.
People are welcome to attend the meetings at Greenbushes as guests to find out more about more about the group’s activities.
It is suitable for anyone wanting to lift their confidence and build communication skills including young people or seniors.
