RECORD numbers competed at the Healthway's Smarter than Smoking Bridgetown Scramble held last weekend at Orange Grove Farm in Bridgetown.
The vintage motocross challenge attracted more than 70 riders. The newly designed course provided fantastic views for the spectators as well as a challenging track for the riders.
"This was very much a spectators track," Organiser Nick Maxfield said. "You could see every part of the track, which is pretty unusual for this kind of event.
"The `Pony Express’ feature race was a lot of fun, with many riders enjoying the novelty challenges of bandaging a team mate during the race,” he said.
"All funds raised will go to the Red Cross Nepal Region Earthquake Appeal. We are very pleased to have held another successful free community event in Bridgetown and are pleased to have received support from Healthway's to help ensure such success."
