BRIDGETOWN St John Ambulance would like you to think before posting photos and other information of incidents they attend on social media.
Bridgetown St John Ambulance committee Chairman Craig Sisson urged people to remember that whoever is involved has family and the way for them to find out that their loved one has been involved in an accident or has medical issues is not through social media.
“All medical professionals are bound to keep patient information confidential and just because something happens in a public place does not mean that someone’s privacy should not be respected,” he said.
“Instead of being a bystander why not join St John Ambulance or one of the other emergency services as a volunteer. Contact your local sub-centre, in Bridgetown phone 9761 1049 or search St John changes lives.”
