The wife of the motorcycle rider who died after he was thrown from his bike while riding at Barbagallo Raceway on Saturday has paid an emotional tribute to her husband.
Daniel Chadbund, 28, was participating in the State Road Racing Championships when he came off his bike and struck a wall.
Despite emergency first aid and being rushed to Royal Perth Hospital, he was unable to be revived.
Ms Chadbund's wife Hayley, said "this world will never be the same without him".
"Daniel's family and friends would like to express their sincere thanks for the love and support they have received during this truly devastating time," she said in a statement.
"Daniel was truly loved by all that crossed his path and epitomised the meaning of a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and true mate.
"He was genuinely an amazing man and was taken away from us way to soon through tragic circumstances. He will be forever in our hearts."
The RAM Motosport Facebook page also paid tribute to Mr Chadbund.
"Yesterday we lost a fellow racer to the sport," the post said.
"Condolences to Daniel Chadbund's family and friends.
"It was very difficult racing today, but did it for you. A very sad weekend."
