The Blackwood Brewing Company has once again shown it produces some of the world’s best beers with its Blackwood Stout Porter beer winning another Gold Medal at the 2016 Australian International Beer Awards held in Melbourne recently.
The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria announced the award winners with record entries from all over the world.
The Blackwood Stout Porter was the only Australian Stout to win a gold medal and one of only eight gold medals awarded to WA breweries.
“This recent gold medal confirms that our Stout Porter is a world class beer having previously won the Best WA Beer award in 2007 and the 2009 Australian International Beer Awards Best Stout, plus a Silver or Bronze medal each year since then,” brewer Mark Hollett said.
This international beverage award confirms once again that the Southern Forests and Valleys South West region of WA is the home to some of Australia’s best food and beverage that makes our region one of Australia’s up and coming and must see tourist destinations.
