Bridgetown is abuzz with anticipation at the prospect of having a new Dental Surgery in town with Dr Jeffery Bennett ready to open for business on Thursday July 28.
Dr Bennett said it had always been a dream of his to open a small country business and he was looking forward to the change.
“I came to Bridgetown to look for a life change and straight away thought it was a great place,” Dr Bennett said.
“Now I am opening my dream business, which has always been to have a small part-time dental surgery in the bush that would operate with customer friendly hours.”
Dr Bennett graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1988 and quickly built up a number of busy practices in the Wheatbelt.
After 14 years in the country he moved to Perth and built another successful business in the city while continuing his education in diagnostics and digital dentistry. With plans for a country change he headed south looking for the right town.
“I decided that I would rather be in a country practice which is where I came from when I started off,” Dr Bennett said.
“Dentists provide a service to the community and there wasn’t one here. Bridgetown is a great place and now I have set up the dental surgery that I always wanted.”
Dr Bennett said he had a minimalist approach to dentistry and with the latest equipment and some great staff the town would get a great service at a reduced cost.
“I have Hygienist Shelly Karafilis working here two days a week, which is great. And I have the most updated technology.
“One of the great things about this new equipment is that you get all these digital radio-graphs which are exact and with this type of technology you can really start to see things that you wouldn’t normally see.
“Through the microscope I can see all the cracks and any other issues and have them repaired before they get too bad.
“That’s what I enjoy.”
Bridgetown Dental will be open for dental appointments from Thursdays to Saturdays and for Hygienist appointments on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Located on Hampton Street near St Paul’s Church, drop by or call 9276 2222 to make an appointment.
