Two impressive metal sculptures depicting the mining, timber milling and agricultural heritage of Greenbushes are now in place on the South Western Highway. Created from recycled scrap by local artisan Mick Latimer, they are a project of the Greenbushes Ratepayers and Residents Association, designed to bring people off the South Western Highway into town. Greenbushes RRA spokesperson Leonie Eastcott said the $18,000 project had been made possible through a $5000 grant from the Friends of the South West philanthropy group and funding and logistical support from Talison Lithium. The Tin Man is in a park off the northern approach road to Greenbushes and the Timber Man Farmer is at the town’s southern entrance.
