It’s time to hang out the blue and yellow balloons and streamers in and around the town as the Bridgetown Football Club prepare all senior grades for the 1st semi finals to be held in Bridgetown this weekend.
It is the first time for a very long time that all grades have been in the finals in the same year, with the excitement building up around the town and at the club.
Bridgetown Football Club President Steve Holdsworth said it was very exciting to have teams competing in all grades and he was hoping the town would come along to support the boys on Sunday.
“It is very exciting to have all three grades playing this weekend and we would appreciate as much local support as possible,” he said.
“We have been working very hard to build the footy club up which has resulted in a very successful year so far and we are hoping to go further this weekend.”
The games will be played this Sunday, August 21, with the Colts game between Bridgetown and Tigers kicking off at 10.15am, the Reserves game between Bridgetown and Kojonup starting at 12 midday followed by the League game between Bridgetown and Deanmill commencing at 2.15pm.
The Junior Football club’s year 6-7 team is also playing in a semi-final in Kojonup this Saturday.
The Bridgetown Football Club’s Fairest and Best vote count for all grades will be held at the club on Saturday August 27 at 4pm. Everyone is welcome to come along.
