Three goals to Nathan Bradbury has helped lift the Imperials Magpies into the Lower South West Football League 2016 grand final.
Taking on Southerners in Pemberton on Sunday, Imperials took the lead early with two goals in the first term to one. At half time the Magpies led 27 points to 16.
A great third term allowed Imperials to stretch their lead by three more goals and when the final siren sounded, the Magpies had triumphed 7.7.49 to 3.7.25.
Jordan Aitken kicked all of Southerners majors and his side get one more chance to make the grand final against Deanmill on Sunday.
The news was better for the Southerners reserves team earned a week off and a spot in the grand final with a win over Deanmill.
Southerners kicked three goals in the first term and led 5.6.36 to 4.4.28 at the main break.
Deanmill reduced the gap by a goal in the third term but were kept scoreless in the last while Southerners managed just one behind in the fourth quarter to prevail 6.10.46 to 4.4.28.
The Hawks reserves now get a second chance on Sunday against Bridgetown.
Deanmill will also need a second chance to make the colts grand final after a loss to Imperials on Sunday. The Magpies were too strong on Sunday, winning 5.12.42 to 2.6.18.
Again Deanmill will face off with Bridgetown.
