The Bridgetown Leisure Centre is looking forward to the upcoming Open Day, which is sure to be a great family day for everyone under the guidance of new Leisure Centre Manager, Emma Pickering.
Emma commenced as the new manager on October 4, and is looking forward to using her unique skill set to help steer the centre into new horizons.
“I have a background in state and regional management, working with small and very large teams and have done a lot of change management,” Emma said, “so I am very much looking forward to working with the shire staff at the leisure Centre to help make this facility bigger and better than ever before.”
With the Leisure Centre Open Day scheduled for Saturday November 4, Emma says there will be plenty happening all day for everyone in the community.
“The whole aim of the Open Day is that we create more of an interest on fitness, wellness and wellbeing in the centre,” she said.
“It will be the opening of the pool for the 2016-2017 summer season as well as the launch of the 24-hour gymnasium, so we will be running inductions for new members, some taster fitness classes, colouring in and face painting as well as plenty of interesting and exciting activities throughout the day.”
Coordinated events on the day will run between 10-3pm with free entry to the centre and the pool throughout the day.
