The South West Craft Beer Festival will continue to feature only breweries from the South West for this year’s event.
The South West region of Western Australia has a booming craft beer industry which now ranks as one of the fastest growing micro-brewery regions in Australia.
Festival organisers have announced their biggest line-up of breweries to date for February 11, with a variety of food and live music acts getting in on the action.
Event publicist Verity Wessels said the festival would allow beer enthusiasts to experience the best of the region’s craft beer all in one place.
The locals breweries that are locked in for the 2017 festival are: Custard & Co of Donnybrook and The Cidery and Blackwood Valley Brewing Co of Bridgetown.
“At the South West Craft Beer Festival, we showcase the best of the best from the region, with over 100 refreshing local brews expected to be available to taste on the day,” Wessels said.
“Those who aren’t so beer-orientated, never fear, you’re not forgotten - there are plenty of local fine wines, tangy ginger beers and mouth-watering craft ciders to quench your thirst too.”
There will be three live music zones showcasing the region’s up and coming artists, each with a distinctly different personality.
Brewers and beer enthusiasts gather together at Old Broadwater Farm on February 11 from 11am to 6pm for a full day of satisfying brews, alluring food matches and chill local beats.
Tickets for the 2017 South West Craft Beer Festival are now on sale through Ticketbooth for $30. Each ticket includes four tasting tokens and a glass, with additional tokens available to be purchased at the event. Event entry numbers are limited so pre-purchase is recommended to avoid disappointment. Gate sales on the day from $35 if tickets are still available.
