The Bridgetown Repetory Club’s production of Death and Taxe$ by April Phillips has been met with rave reviews so far and there’s still time to catch the show while it’s playing.
The play is a witty adult comedy set in the office of Destiny Life Insurance.
The agents are vying for the title of top salesperson and are trying to outdo each other while dealing with crazy clients and their own interesting interpersonal relationships.
There is Gareth Burke, the smarmy current top sales person, who is dodging his wife and the taxman.
Tiffany, his receptionist has her eye on Gareth's money but no interest in taking his messages.
The usually conservative Lucille is posing as a clairvoyant to win the trip to Hawaii and the very nice Bob is trying to maintain calm whilst being manipulated into involvement in suspicious schemes.
Add to this a nutty police officer, an eccentric heiress, a deadpan business development manager and a domineering, desperate wife and you have a recipe for hilarity and craziness.
To see the show, visit the Bridgetown Theatre on Friday, March 31 or Saturday, April 1 at 8pm or Sunday, April 2 at 2pm.
Tickets are available at the Bridgetown Visitors Centre or at the door.
The bar will also be open of an evening so patrons can enjoy a drink before the show or during the interval.
