South West Author Ian Andrew is calling for people who may be interested in forming a spoken word group in the region.
The published author said he was putting the call out for interested people in the area to get together on a regular basis to perform spoken word.
“There are a lot of spoken word performance-type groups in Western Australia but the majority of them are up in Perth.
I thought I would try and start one around the Collie, Bunbury, and as far south as Manjimup triangle,” Mr Andrew said.
Mr Andrew said the group would hold the meetings at a variety of venues including pubs, libraries, community centres and halls.
“It would cover both authors who want to read some of their work and poets that want to also read some of their work. It covers a range of disciplines.”
Mr Andrew said he was trying to gauge interest for the group in the South West region.
